Overview

For this annual report, the client came to the table with a very specific visual reference: they had seen another report designed and loved its look and feel. The challenge was to capture the qualities they responded to without simply repeating an existing design for a different organization. I developed a new visual direction that translated those ideas into something distinct and appropriate to their own brand, while balancing print and digital requirements. Accessibility was also a key consideration throughout the project, with the report designed to meet accessibility requirements without compromising its visual impact. As with other digital-first publications, I proposed an interactive sidebar navigation system to make the report easier to explore and give readers a clear way to move through the content.
