Overview

The Business + Higher Education Roundtable and the CNIB Foundation needed a series of reports that were dynamic, engaging and genuinely accessible. Working within strict Clear Print Guidelines, I developed layouts that prioritized readability, hierarchy and ease of navigation without sacrificing visual interest. That meant thinking carefully about typography, contrast, spacing, information hierarchy and the way readers move through a substantial amount of content. The project was a great opportunity to challenge the idea that accessible design has to be boring or overly clinical. By treating accessibility as part of the creative strategy from the beginning—not something added at the end—I was able to create reports that were both highly usable and visually engaging, and very well received by the clients.
